In 1960, Swiss Re built an extension at its Mythenquai location. The new office building, "Neubau," on the site of the former tennis courts, was completed and opened in June 1969.
In December 1986, a new office building, "Mythenschloss," was inaugurated at the head office. The original building from 1926 was used as residential property. The new building with the restored facade provided working space for 500 employees.
Swiss Re's office expansion in Zurich continued in Adliswil, located on the outskirts of Zurich. In 1999, the first building of four was completed and named "Tüfihaus." This building was later joined by "Uetlihaus," "Soodring 6" and "Soodring 33." They bring the total number of Swiss Re staff working in Adliswil to about 2000.
