Swiss Re's Photo & Film Club produced this film over 50 years ago to celebrate the firm's centenary. What emerged from their efforts was no ordinary 'presentation video' but a multi-faceted, humorous testimony to life in the early 1960s.

Watching this film today makes us aware of the speed at which society and technology – and our working lives – have changed in recent decades.
